Mumbai Police Apprehends Suspects in Salman Khan Shooting Incident
The Mumbai Crime Branch has successfully apprehended two individuals allegedly connected to the recent shooting incident outside actor Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra West. Law enforcement officials confirmed the arrests, disclosing that the accused were captured in Bhuj, Gujarat, late Monday night.
According to sources, both suspects fled Mumbai following the shooting and were tracked down in Gujarat. The accused individuals will be transported back to Mumbai for further questioning.
The incident unfolded early Sunday morning when two unidentified assailants on motorcycles fired shots outside Galaxy Apartments, where Salman Khan resides. The suspects quickly fled the scene after firing four rounds, leaving behind one live cartridge.
Law enforcement responded promptly to the incident, with the Mumbai Crime Branch launching an investigation. Initial findings indicate a premeditated attack, as the perpetrators wore helmets to conceal their identities. As a precautionary measure, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde contacted Salman Khan and the Mumbai Police Commissioner to discuss enhancing security measures for the actor.
In a surprising twist, Anmol Bishnoi, the brother of incarcerated gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, claimed responsibility for the shooting in a Facebook post. He warned Salman Khan not to underestimate their power, labeling it as a “final warning.”
For those unfamiliar, Salman Khan has been under Y-Plus security coverage since November 2022 due to threats from gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar. Additionally, he has been granted permission to carry a personal firearm and recently acquired an armored vehicle for increased protection.
