Security Breach at Salman Khan’s Residence Prompts Swift Action
In a shocking incident early Sunday morning, the residence of Bollywood superstar Salman Khan at Galaxy Apartments in Mumbai faced a security breach. Two unidentified assailants on a motorcycle fired multiple rounds outside the actor’s home, causing concern among authorities. Fortunately, no injuries were reported as the bullets were fired into the air. However, the seriousness of the situation prompted Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde to assure Khan of increased security measures. The Mumbai Police wasted no time in launching an investigation into the incident, promptly registering an FIR under Section 307 of the Indian Penal Code and 3(25) section of the Arms Act.
The use of a 7.62 weapon in the firing raised significant alarm regarding Khan’s safety. Security footage captured the moment of the attack, showing the two individuals fleeing the scene after carrying out the act. Although the motive behind the incident remains unclear, speculation has arisen due to an email threat received by Khan’s office in March 2023.
Previously, an FIR had been registered against gangsters Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar in connection to the threat. Following this recent incident, further concern arose when Anmol Bishnoi, brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, claimed responsibility for the firing in a social media post. However, the authenticity of this claim is still awaiting independent verification.
Responding to the incident, the Mumbai Police mobilized 15 teams to track down the assailants, believed to be from outside Maharashtra. Leading the charge in the investigation were senior police officials, including Joint Commissioner of Police (Crime Branch) Lakhmi Gautam and renowned encounter specialist Daya Nayak.
Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde Reaches Out to Salman Khan
Following the gunshots fired at Salman Khan’s Mumbai residence, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde personally contacted the actor to express concern and offer reassurance. Shinde assured Khan that the Mumbai Police had been directed to thoroughly investigate the matter, underscoring the significance of ensuring the safety and security of all citizens.
