Baaghi 4 Review: A Mixed Bag of Action and Emotion

Rating: 3.0/5

Star Cast: Featuring Tiger Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, Harnaaz Sandhu, and Sonam Bajwa, Baaghi 4 brings together an impressive ensemble that promises thrills and emotional depth.

Baaghi 4 Full HD Movie | Tiger Shroff | Latest Bollywood Action Movie 2025

Baaghi 4 Trailer | Tiger, Sanjay, Harnaaz, Sonam | Sajid Nadiadwala | A.Harsha | In Cinemas 5th Sept

Director: A Harsha takes the helm of this action-packed drama, venturing into a story that explores the complexities of love and trauma.

Synopsis:
In Baaghi 4, we follow Navy officer Ranveer Pratap Singh, affectionately known as Ronnie, played by Tiger Shroff. After a devastating car accident, he is left in a coma for seven months. Upon awakening, he discovers a haunting reality—believing he is in love with a girl named Alisha, who he claims tragically died before his accident. Struggling with hallucinations, his brother Jeetu and others in his life dismiss Alisha as a mere figment of his troubled imagination. As Ronnie navigates these troubling perceptions, he uncovers shocking truths that will change his life forever. This intriguing premise sets the stage for a rollercoaster of emotions and action-packed sequences.

A Promising Yet Flawed Storyline

The groundwork laid by Sajid Nadiadwala’s storytelling is intriguing. The screenplay, co-written with Rajat Aroraa, draws viewers in with strong initial pacing and well-crafted dialogues. The first half sees Ronnie’s struggle manifest as audiences witness both his hallucinations and the scepticism of those around him, creating an engaging dynamic. The humor interspersed throughout adds a refreshing layer to the narrative, making it a captivating watch.

However, the film falters in the second half. As the villain’s motives become clearer, the storyline meanders, losing some of its initial tension. While the filmmakers make considerable efforts to maintain unpredictability, the narrative risks becoming convoluted and tiring. The climax, marked by an eccentric finale, fails to deliver a satisfying experience for viewers. The film also appears to borrow elements from successful titles such as Animal, Pushpa, Pathaan, and KGF, which detracts from its originality. Additionally, the soundtrack could have benefited from fewer songs, as the number present seems excessive.

Performances That Shine

One of the brightest aspects of Baaghi 4 is Tiger Shroff’s stellar performance. He exhibits a commendable range that showcases his prowess in action-packed sequences while also conveying emotional depth in more vulnerable moments. Sanjay Dutt, despite his limited screen time, makes a memorable impact, showcasing why he’s considered a seasoned actor. Harnaaz Sandhu impressively marks her debut, bringing a refreshing energy to the film. Sonam Bajwa offers a delightful surprise, while Shreyas Talpade provides solid support. Notably, Upendra Limaye stands out with his captivating presence, and Saurabh Sachdeva delivers a reliable performance as well.

Technical Aspects and Music

The music in Baaghi 4 is decent, with tracks like ‘Marjaana’ standing out as a highlight. Other songs such as ‘Get Ready to Fight – Khauf Hai’ and ‘Rona Sikha Diya’ contribute to the movie’s energy but are heavily reminiscent of earlier hits, which can be distracting to audiences. Ankit-Sachet and Shrey successfully create an energetic background score that complements the action sequences.

Visually, Swamy J Gowda’s cinematography is commendable, capturing both stunning action moments and emotional beats with finesse. The action sequences designed by Vvenkat and Kecha Khamphakdee, while excessive at times, showcase creativity. The production design by Tanvi Leena Patil adds a layer of richness, enhancing the overall visual appeal of the film. Costume design by various renowned designers establishes a glamorous aesthetic throughout the characters.

Conclusion: Worth a Watch?

In summary, Baaghi 4 manages to captivate in its initial half with gripping action and emotional storytelling. However, the latter part of the film may not resonate as strongly with audiences due to a commercial approach that leans heavily on melodrama and music. Its performance at the box office will likely benefit from its franchise recognition and the star power of its lead cast, although long-term success will ultimately rely on viewer feedback and repeat viewing appeal.
