Bollywood’s beloved duo Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan are back together on screen after almost two decades! The two stars have officially started shooting for Haiwaan, a thriller directed by veteran filmmaker Priyadarshan. Filming kicked off in Kochi, Kerala, sending fans into a frenzy of excitement.

Akshay gave fans a glimpse from the sets with a hilarious behind-the-scenes video. In the clip, he’s seen holding a clapperboard while sporting a T-shirt that says “Saint.” Priyadarshan jokes that he should be wearing one that says “Haiwaan” instead. With his trademark wit, Akshay adds, “For all you know, he (Saif) must be the devil. This devil you know about, and this devil you don’t know about.”
Sharing the video, Akshay wrote:
“Hum sab hi hain thode se shaitaan… Koi upar se Saint, koi andar se Haiwaan. Starting the shoot for #Haiwaan today with my absolute favorite captain of the ship, @priyadarshan.official Sir. Great to be working with Saif after nearly 18 years. Let’s get the haiwaniyat rolling!!”

The Nostalgic Reunion
The film brings Akshay and Saif back on screen together for the first time since Tashan (2008). Their reunion has sparked major nostalgia for fans who loved their chemistry in classics like Main Khiladi Tu Anari.
About the Film
Haiwaan is said to be the Hindi remake of Priyadarshan’s critically acclaimed 2016 Malayalam thriller Oppam. Produced by KVN Productions in association with Thespian Films, the film also stars Kajol, Bobby Deol, and Icelandic actor Einar Haraldsson in key roles.
The movie will be shot across Kochi, Ooty, and Mumbai, with a grand release planned for 2026.
