Adnan Siddiqui Criticizes Kriti Sanon Over ‘Akhiyaan De Khol’ Remix in Do Patti
Adnan Siddiqui, renowned for his role in the film Mom alongside Sridevi, recently expressed his disapproval of the recreation of the Pakistani song ‘Akhiyaan De Khol’ in the upcoming Netflix thriller Do Patti. The song features Kriti Sanon dancing in a provocative red bodycon jumpsuit, prompting Siddiqui to voice his concerns on social media regarding what he perceives as ‘obscenity’. The Pakistani actor received significant support from fans on social media for his stance.
Siddiqui took to social media to share a photo of Kriti Sanon from the song and wrote, “Imitation can be flattering, but not when it means tearing apart a classic by a legend. Please show some respect for Reshma jee and the legacy she left behind. Her music deserves to be treated with the dignity it commands, not reduced to just another sordid ripoff.” Many social media users echoed his sentiments, labeling the song as ‘disrespectful’ towards the original artists. The remake sparked a debate, with some defending Sanon and the creative team behind the song.

The song ‘Akhiyaan De Khol’ in Do Patti is composed by Tanishk Bagchi, known for his contemporary remixes, with Shilpa Rao lending her voice and Kausar Munir rewriting the lyrics. The Netflix thriller stars Kriti Sanon in a dual role as rival twins, with Kajol portraying a cop and marking the film debut of TV actor Shaheer Sheikh. Produced by Sanon and Kanika Dhillon, the film is set to release on October 25.
