The beloved psych-rock band has just announced the lineup for the 2026 Croxton Block Party, set to take place in Melbourne’s Croxton carpark on October 17 and 18.

Music fans will be treated to exhaustive three-hour headline performances on both nights from the band themselves, along with a diverse slate of supporting acts. Joining King Gizzard are Japanese punk-pop legends Shonen Knife, Sydney rockers C.O.F.F.I.N., as well as Byron Bay favorites like Babe Rainbow, Gut Health, and ORB, among others. With further artists yet to be announced, the anticipation is already building.
Last year’s Croxton Block Party was a huge success, and the 2026 event promises to again create a vibrant mini-festival atmosphere by transforming the venue’s carpark into a thriving celebration of Melbourne’s eclectic music scene.
A Long-standing Collaboration
This collaboration marks a significant chapter in the longstanding relationship between The Croxton and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard. The venue shared, “Gizz played their first-ever show here back in December 2015, just after we opened our doors. They’ve graced our stage multiple times since, including a residency in 2016 and their Bushfire Benefit show back in 2020.”

Building Towards a Better Tomorrow
Beyond the music, King Gizzard is also partnering with the climate impact agency FEAT for a noble cause. They will donate $1 from every ticket sale to support biodiversity restoration efforts on Tasmania’s Lungtalanana Island. This initiative aims to restore habitats for native species, including the Bass Strait wombat and long-nosed potoroo, with guidance from the Tasmanian Aboriginal Centre and other organizations.
